How these numbers were made

  • Calculated from USDA FoodData Central (SR Legacy) per-100 g values and the listed quantities.
  • *Per 100 g of combined raw ingredients; the cooked dish may weigh more or less.
  • Optional ingredients are not included: rose water.
  • Falooda vermicelli: Dry enriched pasta (FDC 169736) used as a stand-in for thin wheat vermicelli (seviyan); cornflour-based falooda sev is similar in energy.
  • “—” means the value isn’t known for enough of the ingredients; it is never zero by default.

Good to know

Tips

  • Add a splash of hot milk when reheating — it sets quite thick in the fridge.

Common mistakes

  • Adding the sugar too early — it can make the milk catch and the vermicelli harden.

Serve with

  • Served to visitors on Eid morning, often after prayers.

Storage

  • Refrigerate for up to 3 days.

Reheating

  • Serve chilled, or warm gently with extra milk.
