How these numbers were made

  • Calculated from USDA FoodData Central (SR Legacy) per-100 g values and the listed quantities.
  • *Per 100 g of combined raw ingredients; the cooked dish may weigh more or less.
  • Optional ingredients are not included: lemon.
  • “—” means the value isn’t known for enough of the ingredients; it is never zero by default.

Good to know

Tips

  • Thin tail pieces cook faster — tuck the end under for even cooking.

Common mistakes

  • Over-baking: salmon keeps cooking after it leaves the oven, so pull it when the centre is barely opaque.

Serve with

  • With steamed rice, roasted broccoli, potatoes or a green salad.

Food safety

  • Cook salmon to 63 °C in the thickest part; refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours and eat within 2 days.

Storage

  • Keeps 2 days in the fridge.

Reheating

  • Eat cold flaked into salads, or warm gently, covered, in a low oven.
