Step 2
Juice the spinach (opens in a new tab) and mint (opens in a new tab) first, sandwiched between pieces of cucumber (opens in a new tab) so the leaves are pushed through, then the celery (opens in a new tab), ginger and apple (opens in a new tab).

How these numbers were made
- Calculated from USDA FoodData Central (SR Legacy) per-100 g values and the listed quantities.

- Optional ingredients are not included: fresh ginger, mint.
- “—” means the value isn’t known for enough of the ingredients; it is never zero by default.

Good to know
Tips
- A slow (masticating) juicer extracts much more from leafy greens than a centrifugal one.
Common mistakes
- Adding too much kale or spinach, which turns the juice bitter.
Food safety
- Fresh, unpasteurised juice has not been heat-treated. Wash produce well under running water, use clean equipment, drink it the same day and keep it chilled; pregnant people, young children, older adults and anyone with a weakened immune system may prefer pasteurised juice.
- Contains celery, one of the 14 major allergens.
Storage
- Drink within a few hours.
Variations
- Blender green juice: Blend everything with 150 ml cold water (liquid first), then strain through a fine sieve.
