How these numbers were made

  • Calculated from USDA FoodData Central (SR Legacy) per-100 g values and the listed quantities.
  • *Per 100 g of combined raw ingredients; the cooked dish may weigh more or less.
  • Optional ingredients are not included: sugar.
  • Rose syrup: Grenadine syrup (FDC 168088) used as a stand-in for a similar sugar syrup flavoured with rose; brands vary (some add fruit or vegetable extracts).
  • Ice: Frozen water; same composition as water.
  • “—” means the value isn’t known for enough of the ingredients; it is never zero by default.

Good to know

Tips

  • Mix just before serving; the watermelon juice slowly thins the milk.

Common mistakes

  • Using warm milk, which turns the drink flat; everything should be very cold.

Storage

  • Make to order; the rose milk alone keeps 1 day in the fridge.
