How these numbers were made

  • Calculated from USDA FoodData Central (SR Legacy) per-100 g values and the listed quantities.
  • *Per 100 g of combined raw ingredients; the cooked dish may weigh more or less.
  • Optional ingredients are not included: sugar.
  • Ice: Frozen water; same composition as water.
  • “—” means the value isn’t known for enough of the ingredients; it is never zero by default.

Good to know

Tips

  • Freeze leftover coffee in an ice-cube tray and use coffee cubes so the drink never tastes watered down.

Common mistakes

  • Stirring granulated sugar into the cold milk — it sinks undissolved; always make a quick syrup.

Storage

  • Make to order; the ice melts and dilutes it within 15–20 minutes.

Variations

  • Cold-foam latte: Froth 60 ml cold milk with a handheld frother and spoon it on top.
