How these numbers were made

  • Calculated from USDA FoodData Central (SR Legacy) per-100 g values and the listed quantities.
  • Optional ingredients are not included: grapes, walnuts.
  • “—” means the value isn’t known for enough of the ingredients; it is never zero by default.

Good to know

Tips

  • Gentle poaching keeps breast meat juicy; boiling hard makes it stringy.

Common mistakes

  • Folding warm chicken into the dressing — it thins the mayonnaise and the salad goes greasy and loose.

Serve with

  • In a sandwich or croissant, on lettuce, or with crackers.

Food safety

  • Cool cooked chicken and refrigerate within 2 hours.

Storage

  • Keeps covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
